Gardens of North Devon RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington (over 200 varities of roses flowering in June). A rich variety of gardens both formal & informal. Three lakes, a bog garden, a vast variety of trees and shrubs, herbaceous and alpine plants. Situated north west of Barnstaple. (50p discount off adult ticket to visitors staying at Huxtable Farm) Castle Hill Gardens and Park surround a magnificent Palladian House, home of the Fortescue family since 1454. A 18th century landscape with grass terraces and statues. Huxtable Farm's neighbour situated to the south of Huxtable Farm. Docton Mill Situated in a stunning valley about 1000m from the coast and famous waterfall at Spekes Mill Mouth. Superb bog garden, extensive herbaceous border, woodland garden and magnolia garden. Broomhill Situated in a glorious wooded valley just north of Barnstaple. Discover 300 sulptures by over 60 sculptors. Tapeley Park and Gardens A garden with formal terraces and a natural lake, with woodland walks and abundant organic vegetable gardens. Tapeley Park is a stately home situated near the coast between Bideford and Instow Clovelly Court Gardens A lovingly restored Victorian walled kitchen garden, including magnificent lean-to glasshouse. Hartland Abbey & Gardens An enchanting valley with historic family home, 50 acres of gardens & wildflower walks leading to Blackpool MIll. This Atlantic cove was the setting for Jane Austin's 'Sense and Sensibility' filmed recently.
