2015 Huxtable Farm and North Devon Events Calander Spring on the Farm

27th - 29th March - South West Quilt Show, Westpoint Arena. 19th -26th April - Hartland Abbey Bluebells; Hartland Abbey & Gardens open 11:00 - 17:00 Week 2nd - 10th May - 2015 North Devon & Exmoor Walking Festival What's on at North Devon Theatres 17th May 2015 - Motor and Classic Show, Bude 21st-23rd May 2015 - Devon County Show at West Point Exeter 22nd-26th May 2015 - Hunting the Earl of Rhone, Combe Martin 22nd-25th May 2015 - Bude and Stratton Folk Festival What's on at National Trust Property, Arlington Court and Carriage Museum. 30th & 31st May 2015 - South Molton Vintage Rally 17th May, 31st May & 7th June 2015 - Point to Point at Bratton Down. Clovelly and events taking place at Clovelly during 2015 e.g Celebration of local Ales & Ciders Summer on the Farm Lets hope the sun shines as June & July as it's the time to make hay and/or silage. Experience watching the sheep being shorn.
Enjoy long sunny days days on the sandy beaches, Saunton and Woolacombe or a picnic on the farm by the pond. Time is spent picking the ripe fruit in the garden & jam making.

Events in North Devon & links to other useful sites Winter on the Farm This is the time of year to enjoy the dark starry nights at Huxtable Farm, as we are located in a low light polution area.
It's also a great time for getting ready for Christmas with many Christmas Fairs & Markets

Huxtable Farm Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
This is a beautiful time of year, when the snowdrops are out followed by sunshine, yellow daffodils and primroses. The birds are busy preparing thier nests and deer, both roe and Exmoor red can be seen grazing in the woodland.
Mid Februarry frogs and toads come to spawn in the pond.
The sheep will be lambing during March, do come and share the wonderful experience of witnessing a birth or two.
If the hens decide to go broody mid March we may have some chicks hatching around Easter time!
The orchard apples are collected and the harvest is in. This is the time of year the rams are put back in with their girls, tupping time!
The darker nights are drawing in so it's lovely having had a day out, enjoying the autumn colours, to return to the warm comfort of the log fire. Explore the farm with it's Devon Wildlife Farm Trail and find a variety of fungi.
